The owner of a small grocery store installs a SerVision HVG video gateway in the store. Four cameras are placed at key locations throughout the store and connected to the video gateway. When the owner is in the store at the cash register, she uses a closed-circuit TV monitor to view live video from the four cameras so that she can keep an eye on all parts of the store. When she goes home for the night, she uses her home PC to connect to the HVG via the internet and see what is going on at the store. Even when she is out in the evening, she can keep tabs on the store. She knows the HVG will send an SMS to her cellular phone if anyone comes into the store when it is closed. And, she can always use the SerVision client software on her cellular phone to have a quick look at the store and make sure all is well.
