Even the largest commercial sites can be secured using SVG 1000 units. Place an SVG 1000 in each wing of a large shopping mall or airport, connect all of the units to the local network, and security staff in the control room can keep watch on the entire site. Install a USB WiFi adaptor in each unit and you can use WiFi to connect them to the local network without having wires everywhere.
Like other video gateways, the SVG 1000 provides software-based motion detection sensors and supports the integration of additional external sensors. Control-room staff are automatically alerted when a sensor is activated, and other personnel can be notified via automated SMS or e-mail messages as well. Alarms and other security devices can also be activated automatically in response to sensor triggers. Recorded video of security breaches and other important events can be viewed and analyzed later on if necessary, so that security officials can see exactly what took place and how it was handled, and draw any relevant conclusions.
