The Berlin lorry attack that killed 12 people and injured 48 others raises a pressing question for security services across the world: what can be done to stop such attacks again ? The attack on Berlin’s Christmas market came six months after a 19-tonne cargo truck was deliberately driven into crowds celebrating Bastille Day in Nice.
This seemingly new – and brutally destructive – form of terrorist attack is quickly becoming one that security experts fear the most: it can cause untold carnage and seemingly come out of nowhere. And there are obvious limits on the effect of practical measures.
Collaborating with many companies around the world, SerVision UK have developed systems to help prevent atrocities using commercial vehicles as weapons. Using our cutting edge technology, the SerVision system can provide immediate live notifications of any type of unauthorised entry and movement of a commercial vehicle, unique driver authentication which prevents engine start, provide live HD CCTV to the relevant authorities and remote immobilisation via our 24-7 emergency response centres.
